Bookkeeping
Every business has specific needs, even when it comes to data entry.
Prior to commencing with Bizgro we set up an initial appointment where the best and most cost-effective way of processing your data is devised.
Some of our Standard Bookkeeping services include:
- Invoices
- Receipts
- Wages
- Bank transactions (including direct debits, fees and transfers)
- Bank reconciliation
- Supplier reconciliation
- Aged receivables and payables
- Filing
- Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet reports
Bizgro also offers a series of services in Advanced Bookkeeping, Accounting, Account Checking and Training.
Our bookkeepers can work on-site if your business is local, or our secure remote system allows us to do your bookkeeping remotely no matter where you are in Australia.
We often hear small businesses finding it hard to engage a bookkeeper happy to take on just a few hours of work per week. That's where Bizgro is different. We offer a full range of bookkeeping services and will meet your specific needs efficiently and professionally, no matter how many or how few hours that takes.
With Bizgro Bookkeeping you will have access to a flexible team and working hours to suit your needs, leaving you more time to concentrate on the bigger picture: developing your business.
How we Bill
Most of our clients are serviced offsite - which is the most affordable bookkeeping method. However, our onsite service - where available - may be more convenient.
The initial appointment often allows Bizgro to gauge how much the bookkeeping will cost per month, and this is discussed with the client.

BAS, GST and IAS
Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST and Income Activity Statements (IAS) can all be calculated and lodged by Bizgro.
Each year ever member of the Bizgro team undergoes extensive training to ensure we're up-to-date with the latest taxation rulings and reporting obligations.
Lodgment is now mostly performed electronically. However, the option remains open to the client if they wish to post statements to the ATO.
One of the most important services we can offer to you is an accurate and up-to-date account of what your reporting obligations are. You will always be aware of what your latest BAS, GST or IAS figures are, as well as when these are due for payment.
If Bizgro is entering and checking your data on a regular basis, calculating and lodging the statements is a very quick process. We understand how the data has been entered and can generate reports to accurately report your business activity. We guarantee that each transaction is marked with the correct GST coding, and placed in the correct account.
Performing your BAS, GST and IAS on a consistent basis promotes greater accuracy and consistency when it comes to cross-checking and preparing your End of Financial Year (EOFY) accounts.
Payroll, PAYG and Super
Paying your employees has never been easier with Bizgro Bookkeeping. Even if we're not doing your books, Bizgro can provide you with a weekly payroll service. All Bizgro staff undergo regular training, as well as attending various seminars throughout the year to ensure the latest awards, taxation rulings and super obligations are integrated within your payroll.
There are many misconceptions with payroll, and we at Bizgro argue that it is one of the most important areas of your business to be constantly on top of.
Allowing Bizgro to perform your payroll will ensure that:
- your staff are being paid correctly
- your PAYG and superannuation (super) will be lodged accurately and on time, and
- that your business is maximizing their right to the tax deductions
Whether you're using a computer software program or a wage book, Bizgro will liaise with you to ensure the best system is in place. Often this takes place within the initial appointment, however clients are encouraged to call at any time to discuss changes. It is up to you whether Bizgro pays your employees directly, or whether we calculate the figures for you to then pay.
We also pride ourselves in the relationships we form with clients and their employees. Your employees should feel comfortable to call us at any time to discuss their particular situation.
Payroll summaries (group certificates) are sent to each and every employee at the end of the financial year, and all records - including Tax File Number (TFN) declaration forms - are securely kept on file.
Audit Preparation
In general there are two types of audits. The surprising and often painful audits and the scheduled regular audits.
Examples of a surprising audit may be a payroll audit, GST audit or tax audit. Payroll audits may be flagged by a disgruntled staff member and the GST or tax audit may be raised by the ATO from noticing lodged figures that are unusual or extraordinary.
When a business is called upon for a surprise audit, it is often a very stressful time, requiring you to work your way through a lot of paperwork, all the while racking up high accounting fees and/or wasting the business owner's time. Bizgro provides an audit preparation service that will save you time and money.
Examples of a scheduled regular audit may include auditing a trust fund account such an account that lawyers or real-estate agents may have when they collect client funds or deposits. Another example is the auditing of not-for-profit (non-profit) organisations in their procedural statutory compliance including the handling of government grants.
We ensure that every business transaction that falls within the audit period is checked and accounted for correctly. Documentation is sourced, copied and accurately re-filed. Furthermore, we liaise with the accountant to make sure everything they need is delivered to them.
Cashflow and Budgets
One of the best things about the bookkeeping being done accurately and regularly is that you can now extract the data you need to start analyzing and improving your business.
Bizgro is extremely proficient in Microsoft Access (including ODBC link access to MYOB and QuickBooks data tables) and Microsoft Excel (including piviot tables, advanced functions, VBA, graphing).
We can generate for you;
- Cashflow reports
- Estimates (in advance) of large BAS and super payments
- Budgets and what-if analysis
Prior to setting up Bizgro, director Charmaine Bazley spent 5 years utilizing Microsoft SQL Server scripting with Microsoft Great Plains (previously Dynamics) accounting software. Working with Charmaine to analyze and interpret your business data will allow for a greater understanding of what you need to do to improve your business and maximize returns.
Furthermore, partner and business manager Stephen Bazley has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics. Stephen has extensive graphing and programming skills and will assist with preparing your data for analysis.
Reports and graphs can be prepared as PDF files, emailed or printed (colour and various sizes are available).
End of Financial Year Preparation
Bizgro is held in high esteem by many accounting firms due to our End of Financial Year preparation.
During July and August we prepare a folder of documents for your accountant, providing them with everything they need to complete a fast and accurate tax return for your business.
This not only makes your accountant's job easy and stress-free, it also saves you money because accounting time is essentially halved.
Our unique End of Financial Year Preparation is also beneficial in the sense that it allows you to prepare a budget much sooner than you would have expected, now that you know your tax obligations.
We run internal training sessions in the months leading up to this period so that all Bizgro bookkeepers are meeting their clients' expectations.
We also take the initiative to liaise with accountants to ensure that everything they require is being provided.
