Quarterly BAS

Business Activity Statement (BAS's) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS's) can be lodged on a quarterly basis.  Bizgro is a BAS agent and can lodge your BAS's.

The following items may be included on the quarterly lodgement of BAS's:

• GST for quarter (eg Jan to Mar, Apr to Jun, Jul to Sep, Oct to Dec)
• PAYG for quarter (this is the tax that you have deducted from your employee's wages throughout the quarter) (eg Jan to Mar, Apr to Jun, Jul to Sep, Oct to Dec). Sometimes PAYG is remitted monthly. If this is the case, then PAYG is remitted for the 1st two months of the quarter on an IAS and then the wages for the 3rd month of the quarter are included on the BAS.
• Fuel Tax Credit for quarter (Refer to 'Fuel Tax Credits' Page for more information)
• PAYG instalment (Refer to PAYG instalment for more information)
• FBT instalment (This is the estimation of FBT for the year divided by 4 quarters)

The following items may be included on an instalment activity statement (This is a smaller version of the BAS):

• PAYG for quarter (see above)
• PAYG instalment (Refer to PAYG instalment for more information)

Please note, that if you get a BAS for an entity, you will not get an IAS for the same entity.

The due dates for a quarterly statement if a client is lodging is:

• 28th February
• 28th April
• 28th July
• 28th October

If Bizgro lodges your quarterly statement through our BAS agent portal, then we get a 4 week extension for lodgment and payment of the BAS/IAS's for all quarters except February. As a result, the due dates become:

• 28th February
• 25th May
• 25th August
• 25th November

Fines can be received for BAS's/IAS's that are not lodged on-time. For a small entity, the penalty is calculated $210 per 28 days it is late. This is calculated up to 5 periods that are late.
